Time for a break from all the running around. I spent the day with Inge, walking around town a bit, having a coffee on a terrace, playing some backgammon and we cooked a nice meal together. Nice to spend some quality time with my best friend and it’s great that we live a lot closer [...]

move to Valencia – Sept 13
With the train I went to Rotterdam to attend the wedding of Lianne and Geert-Jan. Ten years ago Lianne wheelbarrowed me into the job as tour-leader so basically she is the one to “blame” for my prolonged stay in China The ceremony was in the park of the Euromast, Het Heerenhuys, which used to be [...]

2 days and a bit left
Only 2 days and a bit are left now before I leave China after my 10 year stay here. On Friday the movers came to pack our stuff. They were 45 minutes early and out within 2 hours. In the afternoon we had lunch at Mosto, the brand new restaurant in the new Nali Mall [...]
London Olympics: FUN
In the last couple of days I have had a couple of discussions with friends about the 8 minute performance for the London 2012 Olympic Games during the Closing Ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on August 24. Basically none of my friends share my opinion and found it (the performance) a total disaster. In my [...]
