Since I really miss something to do apart from school, yup I’m talking work, currently I am in the process of developing a website that has the purpose of listing ALL restaurants in Valencia.
Of course there are websites that already (try to) do that, but they are either far from complete and/or projects that have started off with great enthusiasm initially, but without any continuance whatsoever. The site TripAdvisor lists the most restaurants with around 640, but I think that is not even half of the real number.
So the initiative Eat In Valencia has been born!
The listings will be detailed with map and additional information and free of charge for the restaurants. Each listing receives a forum post where people can comment; in other words write a review.
Many restaurants do not have a website yet and that is where the business model comes into action. I can make them a micro site hosted on the eat-in-valencia.com-domain for a fixed fee. They will be able to choose from a static website or a dynamic website and obviously the price will reflect this difference.
This will keep me busy during the coming few months and it will be a great chance for me to practice my español, get to know the city and its restaurants and meet a variety of people in the hospitality industry!
