Betabox and the (re)discovery of a WordPress plugin

Nov 02, 2008 Published under WordPress

Since today (actually yesterday, but I’m still up) was the release of WordPress 2.7 Beta 1 and I had become a bit curious, I decided to set up a betabox (much like a sandbox but then for testing beta versions of WordPress) on my Senlin Online domain.

Well, I must honestly say that it looks better than I had thought and although the left sidebar in the admin panel is not overly disturbing, I still do not understand why it could not have been a top panel.

Anyways more on the Betabox, if you’re interested at all…

Then while I was browsing the net, I found a plugin that I had missed after switching from WordPress 2.3.3 to 2.5 and later to 2.6 and 2.6.x: the Admin Drop Down Menu plugin by Ozh. I remember looking for it after the switch to 2.5, but obviously I didn’t look hard enough. Glad that I found this very useful plugin as it saves a huge amount of clicking on menu items! An additional nice thing is that the cute icons of famfamfam are integrated in the plugin.

This fabulous plugin is back on my Favorite Plugins list!
