For some time now I have been trying to find a useful (read: working and workable) WordPress plugin for rotating ads.
I have downloaded, tried and uninstalled again a few of them and yesterday I finally found what I have been looking for: Max Banner Ads.
With the Max Banner Ads WordPress plugin you can add ads to your blog in many different places. For now I only use it in my sidebar; if you refresh this page a number of times you will see different ads.
But there is a lot more that you can do with this great plugin!
You can add a banner ad to the top of your page(s) as well as to the bottom of your page(s). It can also add ads inside posts and you can choose to only show ads in the first two posts, the odd posts, posts somewhere in the middle, etc.
Another handy feature for in-post-ads is that you can have the plugin switch the placement of the ad from left to right or, if you wish to do so, in the center of your post.
I highly recommend this plugin!
